Advocacy Committee
The Advocacy Committee champions the inclusion and success of women, present and prospective, in engineering and technology in Central Illinois.
Awards Committee
The Awards Committee works to recognize talent in the Central Illinois area and the talent within the Central Illinois SWE membership. The annual awards presented are for Distinguished Member and Outstanding Engineer.
Communication Committee
The Communication Committee provides timely and accurate information to members and friends regarding SWE-Central Illinois activities and events via several avenues: SWE-CI Website, Email, Google Calendar, SWE-CI Facebook Group Page, and SWE National Community Forum.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is focused on attracting and retaining members of Central Illinois SWE.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee coordinates the elections and appointments for the Executive Board each Spring.
Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee provides outreach programs to K-12 grades, focusing on Engineering, Math, and Science activities. Events include Engineering Week experiments at the Peoria Riverfront museum, mentoring at local schools, and Girls Scout Badge Days. We are always looking for volunteers!
Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee strives to provide formal and informal networking opportunities for SWE members. Our goals reflect a concerted effort to help our colleagues learn and grow, both in their careers and in their personal lives.
Work & Life Integration Committee
The Work & Life Integration Committee enables women engineers (and other employees) to continue rewarding careers and fully contribute in their jobs while having the satisfaction of caring for themselves, raising the next generation and supporting loved ones.
